Product
Definition
We work with technology and marketing teams to develop product concepts,
applying a user-centered approach that incorporates customer observations
and interviews. Through visualizations of future use scenarios and by constructing
idea catalogs, we work with development teams to identify desirable product
functionality.
Expert
Review
Our Expert Review provides an in-depth audit of your existing product's
interface. Based on our many years of experience, we assess your product’s
workflow and visual design. We offer concrete recommendations to improve
your product’s usability, usefulness and aesthetic appeal.
Interaction
Architecture
We explore how to manifest your product’s functionality in a concrete,
actionable, easy-to-use interface. We create wireframe diagrams specifying
overall task flows, key components and individual screens. The Interaction
Architecture visualizes your requirements specification, providing engineering
with a framework to begin development.
While many people use the term ‘Information Architecture’,
we prefer Interaction Architecture—an interactive product delivers
functionality foremost, not only information.
Graphic
and Information Design
We develop appropriate visual design directions for your product’s
display, whether it is a single line dot matrix or a full color 1024x768
computer monitor. We explore several options, working within any existing
directions and ensuring consistency with your company's brand identity.
Based on your feedback and preferences, we fully develop the interface's
visual design, providing comprehensive style guidelines and finished,
implementation-ready artwork as necessary.
Prototypes,
Simulations and Evaluation
We develop prototypes and simulations to try out concepts, visualize the
final product, and validate designs. We are proponents of using prototypes
for informal, qualitative user testing to achieve an iterative, user-centered
design process. |
