Beth Mitchell became Swim's studio manager in 2004, while pursuing a graduate degree in painting. After graduating, she transitioned into a full-time Swim employee, bringing both her artistic sensibility and a measured rationality to her roles as interaction designer, visual design production artist, and studio manager. For the past few years, Beth has worked extensively with Gap Inc. during the launch of universality and its accompanying content management tools.
Beth has a BA in Art Theory & Practice from Northwestern University, an MFA in Painting from the San Francisco Art Institute, and spent a year studying Art History and Philosophy at the University of Sussex in England. Her artwork has been exhibited in San Francisco, Chicago, Santa Fe, and Colorado.
