Conor Mangat, visual interface designer

Conor Mangat, visual designer for Swim Studio

Conor Mangat has been working with Swim as a visual designer since 2002, providing graphic and information design capabilities to clients such as Gap Inc. Direct and Aldon. He brings over 17 years of experience to projects ranging from detailed iconography to design for the web and mobile devices.

Conor's previous exploits—covering a range of brand-building projects that have included both print and interactive work, strategy, and implementation—have included spells at Metro Newspapers in Silicon Valley, Boag Associates in London, and two stints at MetaDesign in San Francisco, where he was most recently Design Director.

Originally from the UK, he holds a Bachelor's degree in Visual Communication from Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication in London, and graduate degrees from the California Institute of the Arts and the University of Reading, the latter in Typeface Design. His work has been widely recognized and is included in the Conran Foundation Collection in London. He is a member of the International Society of Typographic Designers (ISTD), and has acted as a lecturer and guest critic at, amongst others, the California College of the Arts in San Francisco and the London College of Communication.
